Alaska Mill & Feed is a locally owned and operated retail business in Anchorage, Alaska, that has been actively running and growing since being founded in 1950 by the Donatello family. Today, Alaska Mill & Feed is one of Alaska's biggest farm and feed stores.

About the Project

Alaska Mill and Feed is a growing business that launched its new online storefront in early March 2021 with plans to launch a local delivery service later in the year. With these new services being added to their business model, producing a marketing campaign and continuing their in-house work would be challenging.

They decided to reach out to some of their local contacts and eventually got connected to Orange Slice Marketing. This sparked a partnership to promote Alaska Mill & Feed’s new services and their day-to-day retail happenings.

Results

After a full year of work with Alaska Mill & Feed, Orange Slice Marketing supported the growth of the e-commerce side of their business through 2022. Once Orange Slice had been fully onboarded and partnered with Alaska Mill & Feed, their efforts resulted in the following:

  • 111.86% increase in online revenue Year-over-year (YOY)

  • 685.93% increase in website clicks YOY

  • 66.67% increase in the contribution of e-commerce revenue to total revenue YOY

  • 224.21% increase in social reach YOY

  • 16.72% increase in revenue from emails

Orange Slice was able to help Alaska Mill & Feed get settled in a strong position with their new e-commerce store while also building a digital presence.
